I was at the Readfield transfer station recently and became aware that the political infighting had made its way there as well. I was told that somebody made an issue of the attendant opening the gates early by a few minutes.

So let me get this straight. You’re mad because Readfield has employees who are responsible enough to get to work on time? I fail to see the sanity of this issue.

If the Select Board and the watchdog group want to waste time with this political fighting, at least don’t harass the staff in the process. These folks, transfer station and office staff, have been professional through all of this arguing.

Perhaps those who would perpetuate the political fighting could learn from them.

The staff just want to come in and do their job without a lot of drama. Is it too much to ask that those who want to argue leave them alone and let them do their work?

As a taxpayer I am offended by all this petty behavior when we should be working together for the good of the community. Readfield has many good people in it. Don’t poison that with petty politics.

I repeat, I simply want my recycle and road services at a reasonable cost. Don’t muck this up with your political fighting.

If the argument does not improve things for the community than it has no value. The value in life is getting along and helping others. Anything else is a waste of time.
