A fire destroyed a three-story home on Hart Street in Newport Saturday at about 7:30 p.m.
No one was home when the fire broke out.
It took 35 firefighters from the Newport Fire Department and surrounding communities three hours to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
