Maine State Police are investigating an incident on Lyons Road after a woman reported a man approached her parked car claiming that someone was going to kill him.

The incident report initially came in as a shots fired complaint around 4:20 p.m., but no shots are believed to have been fired, according to Trooper Jacob Roddy.

Roddy said the woman who called in the complaint was waiting in her car in a small dirt parking lot on the side of Lyons Road. The woman, who was waiting to meet someone, said a maroon car pulled into the lot next to her and then backed up. A man then allegedly appeared at her window yelling “help, they’re going to kill me,” according to Roddy.

The woman sped out of the parking lot and was not able to get a description of the individuals in the other vehicle, but said that the man who approached her car had a beard and was about five feet eight inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

The woman told police she thought she saw a gun, Roddy said.

Police do not have any suspects, but are continuing to investigate the incident.
