BANGOR — Timmy Rose had a career-best 20 points, and Willie Rodriguez made a pair of key 3-pointers to help Binghamton pull away and beat Maine 65-54 on Sunday.

Rose was 6 of 8 from the floor. Rodriguez made 5 of 14 field goals for the Bearcats (12-11, 3-5 America East). Wesley Myers scored 22 points to lead Maine (5-18, 1-7), which has lost 12 of 13.

MEN’S HOCKEY

COLBY 8, FITCHBURG STATE 3: Mario Benwicky had a goal and an assist as the Mules (8-5-4) beat the Falcons (8-10-1) in Waterville.

Jack Burton, Scott Fenwick, EJ Rauseo, Dan Dupont, Griffin Fadden, Phil Klitirinos and Thomas Stahlhuth also scored for Colby.

PROVIDENCE 5, MAINE 1: Kate Friesen had two goals and an assist as the Friars (14-12-2, 9-7-2 Hockey East) beat the Black Bears (8-18-1, 4-14-1) in Orono.
