WATERVILLE — Paula J. Raymond, SENA/QLC member, is in the process of transcribing a series of tape recordings done in the 70s by people of a French Canadian background. She seeks pictures and local history about the following people who were interviewed in 1975 and 1976 by Lynn Mavrinac: Dan Fortin, Edgar Poulin, the Landry family, Oscar Hallee, Jeanette Poulin, Napolean Emond, Napoleon Marcou and anyone with Maronite history. There also were reel to reels that needed to be converted to DVDs.

Raymond, along with the help of two, third-year Colby College students that where hired by their professor to some public work this summer at the library, will help complete this tape project.

Sarah Sugden, director of the Waterville Public Library, asked Raymond to take on the project.
