PORTLAND — Corrections officers at the Cumberland County Jail are flexing their muscles for a good cause.

Officers today are taking part in the jail’s annual bench-press competition to see who can lift the heaviest weights.

The money raised from the event goes to the Wounded Warrior Project, a Florida-based organization that raises money for services for injured soldiers.
