Thousands of people across the region are still without power this afternoon.
Central Maine Power spokesman John Carroll said the company expects to restore electricity to all of its customers by late tonight.
There were still 4,000 customers without power at noon today, including 792 in Lincoln County, 1,077 in Waldo County and 725 n Knox county. There were 284 customers still without power in Somerset County and 428 in Kennebec County.
The nearly one foot of wet snow that blanketed the region Friday knocked out power to 25,000 customers by mid-day Friday, Carroll said.
