WATERVILLE –  The public is invited to attend the annual Berger Holocaust Lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Pugh Center at Colby College.

Dr. Hasia Diner, a New York University professor and winner of the 2010 National Jewish Book Award, will speak.

Her topic is “Not a silent Generation: Post-War American Jews and the Memory of the Holocaust.”

Diner, author of numerous books, was selected for a 2010-11 Guggenheim Fellowship. She is director of the Goldstein-Goren Center for American Jewish History at NYU.

Tuesday’s presentation is free. It is part of the Second Annual Jewish History Conference and sponsored by both the the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs & Civic Engagement and Jewish Studies Program at Colby.
