AUGUSTA – A Readfield man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Kennebec County Superior Court to a motor vehicle burglary and theft spree that occurred last July in Gardiner and Farmingdale.

Christopher T. Hanson, 19, was sentenced to 364 days in jail, with all but 90 days suspended and two years of administrative release for the eight counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, and nine counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer that occurred between July 9 and 15, 2010.

Many of the Gardiner vehicles targeted were parked occurred on Hillcrest Street, Harrison Avenue, Mount Vernon Street and at Tiger Town Redemption Center.

Hanson also was ordered to pay $4,000 restitution

A number of other people were sentenced in separate hearings Tuesday and Wednesday in Kennebec County Superior Court:

* Calvin D. Ballard Jr., 52, of Chelsea, operating under the influence and failing to notify of motor vehicle accident, Nov. 5, 2010, in Windsor; five-day jail sentence, $500 fine, 90-day license suspension.

* Joshua W. Bonenfant, 31, of Randolph, operating after habitual offender revocation, failure to stop for an officer, and two counts of theft by unauthorized use of property between Sept. 6 and 7, 2010, in Litchfield; four-year jail sentence, all but one year suspended, two years’ probation, $1,000 fine

* Demi Elizabeth Colby, 22, of Gardiner, theft by receiving stolen property Dec. 22, 2010, in Gardiner; $200 fine.

* William R. Dickinson, 43, of Fairfield, operating while license suspended or revoked Dec. 24, 2010, in Oakland; $500 fine.

* Jason M. Foster, 30, of Oakland, criminal mischief Jan. 10 and violating condition of release Jan. 20 in Winthrop; 24-hour jail sentence, credit for time served, $300 fine.

* Eric M. Girard, 27, of Winthrop, criminal forfeiture of property and unlawful possession of scheduled drug Oct, 19, 2010, in Augusta, 364-day jail sentence, all but 30 days suspended, credit for time served, one-year administrative release, $400 fine.

* Francis M. Rumery, 29, of Augusta, terrorizing Dec. 3, 2010, in Oakland; 364-day jail sentence, all suspended, one-year administrative release, $300 fine.

* Leona P. Williams, 50, of Waterville, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal trespass Jan. 15 in Waterville; 180-day jail sentence, all but 25 days suspended, one year administrative release, $7.50 restitution.

* Patrick M. Yoders, 35, of Waterville, OUI Sept. 25, 2010, in Waterville; 4-day jail sentence, to be served in the alternative sentencing program, $500 fine, 90-day license suspension.
