FAIRFIELD — The Dance Connection Dance Team of Fairfield recently competed in the Dancers Inc. regional competition in North Berwick.

Dance instructor Jodi Ireland’s team placed in the following events:

* First place, Jazz Trio –“Evacuate the Dancefloor” with Tricia Hasson, Tiana Thomas and Ali Tozier.

* First place, Tap — “I Like It” with Taylor Bouchard, Jennifer Gifford, Molly Lybrook, Kim Martin and Paxton Picard.

Silver awards were earned by the following groups:

* Jazz — “Only Girl” with Larissa Hannan, Jenacy Harris, Tricia Hasson, Cailea Higgins, Briana Oliver, Paxton Picard, Hailey Pollard, Tiana Thomas, Ali Tozier and Sarah Zahoransky.

* Tap — “Getting Over You” with Larissa Hannan, Jenacy Harris, Tricia Hasson, Cailea Higgins, Briana Oliver, Tiana Thomas, Ali Tozier and Sarah Zahoransky.

* Jazz — “DJ’s Got Us Falling In Love” with Ashley Andrews, Taylor Bouchard, Jennifer Gifford, Bailey Hartley, Molly Lybrook, Kim Martin and Asia Sweet.

The team took classes at the Dancers Inc. workshop the following day and will attend Nationals in Hershey, Pa. in July.
