YARMOUTH — ”Where Cool Waters Flow” by Randy Spencer has been named the best book of 2010 by the New England Outdoor Writers Association.

The book is Spencer’s first-person story about a year in the life of a Master Maine Guide,

It was Spencer’s first book, and was published by Maine-based Islandport Press. Spencer works out of Grand Lake Stream, a small town in Washington County.

The award was announced at the association’s annual meeting in Oxford, Mass., on April 2.
