Hundreds of bicycles of all types are on sale at the Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s annual Great Maine Bike Swap.
The bike sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the University of Southern Maine’s Sullivan Gym in Portland and on May 1 at the University of Maine’s student recreation and fitness center in Orono.
Organizers say the swaps feature hundreds of used bikes of all types – mountain bikes, road bikes, classic cruisers, children’s bikes and hybrids.
Admission is $3, with free admission for children 12 and under and students from USM, the University of New England, Southern Maine Community College and the University of Maine. A 15 percent commission on bike sales supports the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
