When the Taliban ruled Afghanistan, they destroyed the centuries-old Buddha statues because they despised and wanted to eliminate any point of view other than their own.

Gov. Paul LePage’s ordering the removal of the mural depicting the history of labor in Maine from the Department of Labor lobby comes from the same authoritarian mentality and attitude.

Mainers can expect similar actions in the future from our arrogant, divisive and small-minded governor.
