PITTSFIELD — Peter G. Vigue, chairman and CEO of Cianbro Corporation, will speak at Maine Central Institute at 7:45 a.m. April 27 in Parks Gymnasium as part of the School’s Patterson Lecture Series.

Vigue joined Cianbro in 1970 in an entry-level position after serving in the merchant marines. Since then, his experiences in project management and senior company management have transformed him and Cianbro into pioneers within the construction industry. Vigue’s strong commitment to workplace safety led him to rally behind the idea that safety should become the impetus of Cianbro’s total quality management plan.

Vigue graduated from MCI in 1965. He received a B.S. in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy in 1969 and has been recognized with numerous awards. He and his wife, Carole (MCI, class of 1964), currently reside in Pittsfield.
