On June 13, 1995, we at the Quik-stops of Maine held a micro-brewery day at the Muddy Rudder in Wiscasset to raise money for a young man with cancer.
We featured new micros at that time and had nine micros that were just getting started. They grew to become national companies that are very successful today. These included Sam Adams, Shipyard, Sea Dog and six others.
I am glad to see the micro-brewery day was revived in Augusta last week. Good luck, people, and I wish you much success in the future.
