CAMDEN — A woman who fell from Maiden Cliff in Camden Hills State Park says her husband hit her on the head repeatedly with a rock before giving her a push.

Fifty-two-year-old Lisa Black gave her version of events in a protection-from-abuse order filed Thursday in court. State Police have been investigating the episode in which both Black and her 68-year-old husband, Charles Black, fell from the 800-foof cliff on April 7 on Mount Megunticook.

Lisa Black staggered to a road to summon help. Wardens eventually located her husband, whose injuries have prevented police from interviewing him.

Steve McCausland of the Maine Public Department of Safety says an investigation is continuing, but no charges have been filed. He says both Blacks remain hospitalized.
