LEWISTON — Police say one person was stabbed in a fight in Lewiston and another man was taken to the hospital after being beaten with a collapsible baton.

Lewiston Police Lt. Adam Higgins says that no names are being released following the 9:15 p.m. Sunday incident.

The Sun Journal says the stabbing took place on Horton Street between Pine and Ash streets.

Higgins says the fight apparently involved three or four people in their late teens or early 20s and that one man was stabbed with a knife. The man declined medical treatment and told police he did not want to press charges.

The second man suffered arm injuries.
