BENTON — Sgt. Matthew Ryan Kent, formerly of Benton, recently graduated from the Advanced Officer Training Program at the Non Commissioned Officers Academy, Army Logistics University at Fort Lee in Virginia. Kent is currently stationed in Fort Campbell in Kentucky with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served in the Army since 2004 and is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence High School.

He and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, Daisy Faith and Madison JoAnn. Kent is the son of Dennis and JoAnna Kent of Benton and grandson of Charles Kent of Benton.

Several family members attended the ceremony.
