WATERVILLE — Kennebec Valley Community Action Program is taking pre-applicant screening worksheets for the federal Emergency Homeowner Loan Program.

The program provides mortgage-payment assistance for homeowners in crisis for the next two years.

The pre-applicant screening period will be open until July 22. Eligible applicants will be placed into a lottery to apply for assistance.
