AUGUSTA — Pine Tree Quilters Guild has named Wendy Caton Reed of Bath as their 2011 Meet the Quilter.
Reed’s work will be showcased in a special exhibit during the guild’s 34th annual quilt show from July 29 to 31 at the Augusta Civic Center.
More than 600 quilts will be on exhibit, including antique and contemporary quilts ranging from 12-foot wall hangings to king-sized bed quilts.
There will be daily lectures, free demonstrations, quilt appraisals and a silent auction of quilted items and more than 40 vendors selling fabric, tools, quilts and more.
