TOWNSHIP 3, INDIAN PURCHASE — Officials say a medical issue may have contributed to car crash that killed a 57-year-old Millinocket man in northern Maine.
Maine State Police said Mark Knopf was traveling on Route 11 about two miles outside of Millinocket early Saturday afternoon when his vehicle suddenly veered across the road and crashed into a tree.
Trooper Adam Coover tells the Bangor Daily News that officials don’t know if he died from injuries in the crash or from some other medical reason. He said an autopsy will be performed Monday.
