NORWALK, Conn. — The Central Maine 13-year-old Babe Ruth team is still alive in the New England Regionals, but the road to the World Series got a lot more difficult.

Cranston, R.I. scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to sink Central Maine 12-11 in a nine-inning game Tuesday night between the remaining two undefeated teams in the double elimination tournament.
Central Maine will next face host Norwalk today at 5:30 p.m. in an elimination game at Brian McMahon High School.

The winner will then need to beat Cranston twice on Thursday to advance.
Central Maine defeated Norwalk 3-2 in the first round.
