Parking lot crash results in summons: A 68-year-old Oakland woman was summoned for driving to endanger Monday afternoon after hitting a vehicle and possibly striking a pedestrian in the Walmart parking lot on Waterville Commons Drive.

Waterville Police Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said a woman in the parking lot claimed that Carol Boles’ vehicle struck her as Boles pulled into a parking space.

According to Officer Jennifer Weaver’s accident report, Boles then backed out of the parking space, tried again to pull into the parking space and struck the rear corner of a parked vehicle.

The pedestrian, said Rumsey, insisted on being taken to the hospital; he said he believed her injuries were very minor.

Boles’ vehicle was towed from the scene and Weaver taken Boles to the police station, where she was summoned for driving to endanger and released.
