OAKLAND — The Oakland Recreation Department invites senior citizens on its annual fall foliage trip Thursday to the western Maine mountains.

Transportation will depart at 8:30 a.m. from the parking lot next to the United Baptist Church on Church Street and return around 3:30 p.m.

Lunch will be offered at the Gingerbread House Restaurant in Oquossoc; several $14 all-inclusive meal packages have been established or participants may order from the menu. Each peron will be responsible for buying his or her own lunch.

The trip is free for Oakland residents and costs $2 for nonresidents. Those interested may register by calling the Oakland Town Office at 465-7357.
