AUGUSTA — Caitlin Koller scored with 18:03 left in the second half as Lawrence clinched the No. 3 spot in the Eastern A playoffs with a 1-0 victory over Lawrence in Class A field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.
Lawrence (9-4-1) made three nice passes to get that goal. The ball went from Kaprice Dahms to Bethany Rioux to Danielle Spaudling, who sent a cross pass right to left in front of the cage, where Koller knocked it in.
Lawrence will likely host Edward Little in a quarterfinal game Tuesday. Cony finishes at 7-6-1. The Rams will likely be seeded fifth and play at Brewer in a quarterfinal on Wednesday.
