SKOWHEGAN — Police in Skowhegan, Madison and State Police Troop C have issued positive tickets to youth this past summer. The tickets were presented when officers observed a youth acting safely or thoughtfully.

The goal of the Positive Ticket Program is to build relationships between law enforcement and youth and to reward positive behavior.

The winner of the raffle drawing in Madison was Colby Hibbard, 10, received a positive ticket for wearing a helmet while riding his bicycle. The prize was a $50 gift certificate to WalMart.

Winners of the Skowhegan area raffle for a bicycle or tickets to Funtown were Alexa Wills, 10, who received a positive ticket for wearing a bicycle helmet; and Piper Williams, 6, received a positive ticket for participating in the Skowhegan Recreation Center sports program.
