I do not have any issues with anyone expressing their opinions, but if a person is going to express opinions as facts, they should be backed up with facts.

Joseph Silva Sr. (letter, Oct. 8) enjoys passing the buck from President Barack Obama to President George W. Bush, so I will refresh his memory with facts.

President Obama is on his third year as president, and he has put the country in debt totaling more then all previous presidents in the history of the United States. Yet the economy continues to backslide, and the unemployment rate remains steady at 9.1 percent.

It recently was reported that 103,000 new jobs were created in September, but that isn’t completely accurate, because 45,000 of those jobs were Verizon employees returning back to work after their strike.

Even President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden admitted this past week that the people of this country are no better off now than when they were elected to office; Biden went as far as to admit that many people are worse off.

If Silva or anyone else needs more facts on why President Obama should be a one-term president, I will be happy to provide them.
