Recently, I was confronted with a serious water problem. I know that arsenic has been a real problem, especially in drilled wells, but a recent water test showed that my water’s E. coli count was off the charts.

My test for E. coli-cholorform was at 200 plus; standards call for a limit of 1. The report said our water was unsafe for drinking.

Here in lies the question, where do we go from here? Northeast Labs of Winslow, which did my test, gave me a business card of a reputable company that could solve our water problems.

Craig Winter owns the company, Advanced Quality Water Solutions, of Brunswick. Winter comes with an array of credentials and has had extensive years servicing the public, businesses and state of Maine projects and solutions.

After the initial consultation, Winter installed a ultraviolet light treatment with sediment and charcoal filters directly into the house water supply. He then had the water retested and the result was less than 1.

The work was done as promised and the system works as was stated.
