Organizers of the Western Maine cross country regionals have spread out the schedule of races Saturday in order to alleviate problems associated with rain-soaked fields and limited parking at Twin Brook Recreation Area in Cumberland.

The Class A races are not affected, with the girls still scheduled to run at 10 a.m. and the boys at 10:35.

Class C, however, has been pushed back more than an hour to 12:30 p.m., with the girls running 35 minutes before the boys.

The Class B girls, originally slated to take off at 12:20 p.m., will now begin at 3 p.m.

The schedule is unchanged for the Eastern Maine regionals at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, with the first race (Class C girls) starting at 11 a.m. and the last race (Class B boys) starting at 1:55 p.m.
