MADISON — Abigail Dubois scored the game-winner in overtime as the Old Orchard Beach girls soccer team beat Madison 3-2 in a Western C quarterfinal game Tuesday.
No. 7 OOB improves to 11-5-0 and advances to play No. 3 Waynflete in the semifinals Saturday. No. 2 Madison ends the season 13-2-1.
Sam McLaughlin and Nathalie Michaud scored early in the second half to give Madison a 2-0 lead. Abby Fucciani and Dubois scored before the end of regulation to force the overtime.
Savanna Kandiko made six saves for Madison, while Jaclyn MacDonald had four saves for Old Orchard Beach.
Oxford Hills 1, Mt. Blue 0, PK: Lacey Landry scored on the second penalty kick as the Vikings beat the Cougars in an Eastern A quarterfinal in South Paris.
No. 3 Oxford Hills improves to 8-4-3 and advances to play in the semifinals on Saturday. No. 6 Mt. Blue ends the season 8-6-1.
Bre Martin had 15 saves for Oxford Hills, while Gabby Foy had nine saves for Mt. Blue.
Bangor 7, Lawrence 0: Grace MacLean scored three goals to lead the top-seeded Rams to the shutout in Bangor. Ashley Robinson added two goals while Jade Baunmrind and Allie Boulier scored one apiece,
Paige Belanger made 11 saves in goal for Lawrence while teammate Ashley Yahnel made 12. The No. 8 Bulldogs conclude their season at 8-7-1. Mia smith made three saves for Bangor (15-0-0).
College men’s soccer
UM-Farmington 3, Thomas 0: Nick Grim, Sean Raph of Waterville and Luiz Ristow all scored as the Beavers beat the Terriers in the North Atlantic Conference finale for both teams in Farmington.
Jordan Hale added an assist for UMF (9-7-0, 6-3-0 in the conference).
Derek Reilly earned the win with five saves.
