GRAY — The National Weather Service says parts of Maine are due for the first snowfall of the season, but it’s not expected to amount to much.

Meteorologist Tom Hawley says rain falling over southern Maine will turn to snow this evening. Some areas could see a dusting of snow.

Hawley says the ground is too warm for significant accumulation. And the snow won’t be hitting higher elevations or northern Maine where it’s colder.
