RICHMOND — The Richmond boys soccer team scored on three headers and added a penalty kick on their way to a 4-2 win over Vinalhaven in a Western Maine Class B quarterfinal Saturday at Patrick R. Coughlin Field.
No. 1 Richmond improves to 12-2-0 and will host No. 2 Greenville in the Western D regional final Wednesday. No. 4 Vinalhaven ends the season 7-5-0.
Randy Moody had two goals for Richmond, both on headers. Evan Esancy added a goal and Peter Lorbeski had a goal (on a penalty kick) and an assist.
Alexander Day and Steven Osgood scored for Vinalhaven.
