A winter storm warning is in effect from 8 p.m. today until 2 p.m. Sunday in the following counties: Kennebec, Franklin, Somerset, Waldo, Lincoln, Somerset, Knox, Coastal York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, and Oxford.
 The potentially damaging and historic snow storm is likely to linger on until noon Sunday with a high wind warning for all of coastal Maine and New Hampshire.
 The same storm clobbering the northeast today will swing into the Maritimes Sunday with high winds, heavy wet snow and rain.
 AccuWeather reports the rapidly strengthening storm will roll up from Cape Cod Saturday night to along the Nova Scotia coast Sunday.
