PORTLAND — A gas station that was charging motorists up to 61 cents a gallon over the stated price represents an extreme case of gas pumps being out of whack, but the station isn’t suspected of overcharging motorists on purpose, Maine officials said.

ATHENS — There will be a haunted 5-kilometer race at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at Sites Strawberry Farm. Registration begins at 1 p.m. The cost is $5 per person and $15 per family.

Flu, pneumonia shots available Oct. 25
WATERVILLE — Maxim Health will provide flu and pneumonia shots from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center. The cost is $30 for the flu shot and $60 for the pneumonia shot.
