WEST FORKS PLANTATION — The Maine Warden Service continued its search Wednesday for a local woman who was last seen sometime Friday or Saturday.

Peter Dostie, owner of the Hawk’s Nest Lodge, said the woman is Donna Bulmer, a West Forks selectman and tax assessor who moved to the area in recent years. He said Bulmer disappeared late Friday or early Saturday.

She was elected to the local board in 2010.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said the 52-year-old woman is originally from Weeks Mills, but he would not identify her Wednesday. He said she was despondent and “wandered off into the woods.”

He said the wardens are concentrating their search on a remote area and that it began in earnest on Monday after some initial inquiries earlier.
