Time Warner continues to plow on with the analog-to-digital conversion.

This conversion requires that people must rent Time Warner’s DVD recorder to watch one channel and record another channel. The conversion will not allow other VCR or DVD recorders to work. Thousands of Maine people have a store-bought VCR or DVD recorder that no longer works.

Time Warner has effectively killed a whole industry that made, delivered and sold these items, putting thousands out of work.

Makes one wonder why the government was so quick to condemn the T-Mobile deal, which affected the 500 to 600 Mainers who work there, but did nothing to assist the thousands of Mainers who are forced into this conversion.
