AUGUSTA — A Hallowell man was recovering at a Lewiston hospital Tuesday after crashing his car on West River Road.
Paul Agronick, 57, was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center with facial injuries that were not believed to be life threatening, said Augusta Police Sgt. Christopher Shaw.
Agronick was in good condition Tuesday afternoon, according to a CMMC spokeswoman.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m., as Agronick was driving his 1993 Oldmobile Cutlass south on West River Road. He swerved to miss a deer in the road and went across the northbound lane and off the road where he hit a stand of trees, Shaw said.
