FARMINGTON — Students at Mt. Blue High School, Mt. Blue Middle School and the Foster Technology Center program were sent home early today because of a bomb threat made this morning.
A written threat was found at the high school in Farmington, just a week after a similar threat forced the district to bus students to alternate sites, according to Leanne Condon, district administrator.
After discovering the threat today, Mt. Blue Regional School District 9 decided to dismiss the high school students at 11:30 a.m., Condon said.
The middle school and Foster Tech buildings were sent home at the same time to accommodate bus schedules, so the district’s four elementary schools could be released on time, she said.
Police and school officials are investigating the threats and have not yet identified the person behind it, she said.
