WATERBORO — Police say about 50 laptop computers stolen from a southern Maine high school have been recovered.

The York County Sheriff’s Department tells WCSH-TV that the computers taken Monday night from Massabesic High School in Waterboro were found neatly packed into large plastic bins.

Police aren’t saying where they were found.

The computers are valued at $1,200 each, for a total value of $60,000.

Police are still searching for the thief or thieves, who broke into two locked carts that contained the laptops.
