WATERVILLE — A winter parking ban is in effect starting Thursday and continuing until April 1.

The city’s parking ordinance makes it illegal to park a vehicle between midnight and 6 a.m. on a street or in a school or municipal parking lot, with one exception.

Overnight parking is allowed in the municipal parking lot at Head of Falls off Front Street, according to Mark L. Turner, director of the city public works department.
