EAST WINTHROP — Melissa Rose Lord and Steven Daniel Wight were married June 4, 2011, outside under bright sunny skies at the YMCA Camp in East Winthrop. Benjamin Tucker III, uncle of the groom, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Hope Lord of Manchester and Ray Lord of Farmingdale. The groom is the son of Dan and Roxanne Wight of Readfield.
Nicole Lord, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gina Pomerleau, Nicole Fields, Ariel Trask and Danielle Turner, sister of the groom. Madison Weymouth was the flower girl.
Chad Wight, cousin of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Andrew Moulton, Greg Whittier, Chris Moulton and Matthew Clark. Kelson Robertson, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the YMCA, East Winthrop. The wedding cake was made by Sharon Dunn, aunt of the groom. Mrs. Wight is a 2003 graduate of Winthrop High School. She is employed at the Winthrop Credit Union in Winthrop.
Mr. Wight is a 2004 graduate of Maranacook High School and a 2006 graduate of Kennebec Valley Community College. He is an electrician with Johnson Controls in Portland.
Following a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple live in Winthrop.
