MADISON — The Opus One Big Band will perform a concert to benefit the music program of Madison, Athens, Starks and Brighton Plantation on Saturday, Dec. 10.
A spaghetti dinner will be served in the Madison Area Junior High School cafeteria at 5 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. concert in the auditorium. The evening will feature a performance by the Madison Area Memorial High School Jazz Band under the direction of John Reeves.
Dinner and concert tickets cost $7 for adults, $3 for children younger than 10 or $20 for a family of up to five people.
Concert-only tickets cost $4 for adults and $1 for children 10 and younger. A raffle for a $50 gift certificate from Bob’s Cash Fuel will also be offered.
The Opus One Big Band has been playing for more than 20 years and is comprised of professional Maine musicians who support Maine music programs by performing benefit concerts throughout the state.
