FAIRFIELD — A special Fairfield town meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Fairfield Community Center, 61 Water St. A public hearing will begin at 6 p.m.

The following topics will be the focus of the meeting:

* To vote on a tax increment financing development program for a proposed natural gas pipeline.

* To vote on the acquisition of a piece of land identified on the tax assessor’s map 4, lot 41, on Ridge Road, for the purpose of operating a public safety telecommunications tower.
