LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Sportsmen’s Club on Hallowell-Litchfield Road was named 2011 Venue of the Year by the Down East Country Music Association at their annual legends and memorials awards show in November.

The club hosts Bingo every Wednesday, a children’s fishing derby in May, Country Sundays once a month, music competitions, dances and various other activities.

This is the second time the club has received this award.
