Maine State Police cadet Niles Krech, right, seizes a shotgun Monday from a pickup operated by David Webber during a class conducted at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.  Law enforcement students enrolled at the Academy are participating in live training scenarios around the campus this week with police officers from agencies across Maine. The cadets are scheduled to investigate sequences including car accidents, burglaries and a report of shots fired. Webber, a York Police Department reserve officer, played the role of an agitated hunter caught with an illegal deer.
