I was shocked at the article concerning the nine people arrested at the Blaine House.
A Benton selectwoman says that she knowingly and willfully broke the law and then says that the two other members of Benton’s selectboard are in full support of her willfully breaking the law. Also, one of Benton’s office employees states that he supports the lawbreaker.
Do Benton voters really want leaders who promote those that knowingly and willingly break the law? After all, the selectboard members and office personal did swear under oath to uphold the laws of the state of Maine. Has swearing under oath become meaningless?
