Oakland residents recently voted down a proposal to build a new structure for the police station/town office/fire department.
Now the town council is having meetings to try and put the project back on by making a few changes in the plans.

Doesn’t the voice of the majority in a free society rule? It’s up to the voters and residents of the community to decide what is best for them.
The people who voted against the new building should attend the meetings and see where they are going with these plans.
The next building committee meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday. at the Oakland Town Office.
