WINSLOW — Winslow’s hot shooting in the first half fueled a 66-58 win over Nokomis in the season opener for both teams.

Trevor Lovely sank three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 16 points, while Justin Murray added a pair of threes and led the Black Raiders with 18 points.

Winslow led by as many as 20 points in the second quarter, but Nokomis rallied, and pulled within five points, 60-55, with just over one minute to play in the game. Winslow went 14 of 20 at the line in the fourth quarter to clinch the win.

Ethan Pearl scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Nokomis.
