WINSLOW — Sullivan Wealth Management LLC, recently sponsored the second annual Heart Strings of Hope Dinner and Dessert Auction at the Winslow VFW. The charity was organized to help families experiencing economic or illness-based hardships.

The charity will be able to assist four families with basic needs such as food, fuel, clothing and Christmas presents for children.

The event’s success was due in part to the donations of time from Linda Greatorex, who catered the event with Just So Catering; financial advisors and staff at Sullivan Wealth Management, LLC; Doris Smith, bookkeeper for Heart Strings of Hope; Jay Hanson, the auctioneer; and Cindy Pelotte, who coordinated the dessert donations and decorations for the evening The desserts auctioned for the highest price were the whoopie pies donated by Earlene Hanson and the peanut butter fudge by Paul Norwalt, each bringing in $120.
