WATERVILLE — Hardy Girls Healthy Women recently received a $3,000 donation from The Red Barn, a chicken and seafood family restaurant that has been serving customers in Augusta for more than 30 years. The restaurant recently opened a second location in Winslow.

The Red Barn’s owner, Laura Benedict, supports a number of local organizations. The restaurant’s employees regularly donate tips to a local nonprofit organization.

The restaurant has donated close to $100,000 to more than 40 different charities.

The restaurant selected Hardy Girls Healthy Women, a Waterville-based organization serving girls and young women, as its November recipient of customer tips.
